Development Leadership Team

As the leader of the development team, Ryan is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of development, including long-term visioning and strategic planning. He also leads the team through site selection, municipal approvals, initial design and construction feasibility, and financial structuring. Ultimately responsible for the success of all stakeholders, he brings over 17 years of development experience in new development, redevelopment, and historic rehabilitation projects. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

Bjorn is responsible for the day-to-day operations and project management of all new development including feasibility analysis, design and construction oversight, financial modeling, and project financing. He brings over 14 years of development experience through the management of several high-profile projects throughout the midwest. Bjorn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of St. Thomas.

Laren is involved in the initial design and construction feasibility analysis of all new projects, and oversees the construction of all new developments. He ensures the transition from construction completion to asset management is smooth and that projects are completed on time and on budget. He brings over 20 years of experience in multifamily housing, including asset management, construction management, and development. His combined experience in these areas includes work on assets totaling over 10,000 units through the midwest and south. Laren holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of North Dakota.

In his role as Development Manager Sam leads the financial analysis of new projects and assists the team throughout the development process, from initial site due diligence through entitlements, design, financing, construction, and lease-up. Prior to his current role he served as the Director of Investor Relations for Timberland Partners where he led new fundraising efforts for three multi-asset apartment funds totaling over $240 million. Sam holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and Bachelors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Previously, he served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps.
